The best way to prevent getting influenza is to get your annual flu shot. The Utah County Health Department (UCHD) is offering flu shots starting at $24 in all their clinics (Provo, American Fork and Payson), as well as at community clinics in American Fork on Thursday, September 6th. UCHD staff will be at the American Fork Senior Center (54 East Main) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then Greenwood Elementary from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. (50 East 200 South).

The UCHD accepts Altius, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, DMBA/Deseret Secure, EMI, Humana, SelectHealth, Medicare/Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicaid/PCN, Molina Healthy kids, PEHP and United Health Care Due to recent outbreaks, the UCHD will also be taking Pertussis vaccine (along with most other vaccinations for adults and children) to our flu immunization clinics. The UCHD will also be offering high dose flu for seniors ($40 if paid at time of service), pneumonia ($70) and Tdap (if no insurance $14, with insurance $47) vaccines.
