The Utah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team will conduct a mock airplane crash as part of a certification exercise for new team members.
This Friday, November 18, 2011, beginning around 7:00 P.M., the Utah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (SAR) team will be conducting a certification exercise for new team members. As part of this exercise team leaders will have a scenario with a simulated airplane crash. As a result there will be radio traffic on the SAR radio channel that may sound like a real incident but will be only an exercise. The exercise and radio traffic may continue for several hours.
The exercise will be in Woodland Hills. If there are questions, or if any media wish to cover the exercise, please contact SGT Spencer Cannon, Public Information Officer, Utah County Sheriff's Office, (801)404-1912.
