Learn the hazards of not breastfeeding
Utah County Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is offering free breastfeeding classes for pregnant or breastfeeding moms, their support people (husbands, moms, friends), or anyone else who is interested in learning about the hazards of not breastfeeding, how breastfeeding works.
Classes are ongoing, with the next to be on Wednesday, November 16 at 6 p.m. at the Health and Justice Center (151 S University Ave, Provo).
On Friday, November 18th, two more classes will be offered. The first will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Health and Justice Center, with the second from 3 to 4 p.m. at the American Fork WIC Clinic (599 S. 500 E.) at 3 p.m.
There will also be two Spanish classes hed on November 25th. At 1 p.m., class will be held at the Payson WIC Clinic (910 E. 100 N., #175). The class will be repeated in the Orem WIC Clinic at 3 p.m. (816 N. 980 W.).
All classes last about an hour, are free, and open to everyone (not just WIC clients). For details or questions, please call 801-851-7312.
