Safe Kids Utah County and the Utah County Health Department will be offering a two workshops on April 19th and April 20th

SPANISH FORK, UTAH (April 15, 2011) -- Safe Kids Utah County and the Utah County Health Department will be offering a one hour workshop on April 19th from 6 to 7 p.m. at Diamond Fork Jr. High (50 N. 900 E., Spanish Fork). Presenters will address sports related injuries, the new Utah law that was recently passed, and the importance of properly identifying and dealing with concussions in young athletes. The class is free and is for parents and coaches. Based on a presentation created by Dr. Jim Synder, PhD, neuro-trauma specialist, and Dr. Brent Rich, ATC, from Intermountain Sports Medicine, the class will be lead by a Safe Kids presenter as well as athletic trainer Lisa Walker.
