The Provo River Parkway trail is closed. This is a seasonal closure and avalanche danger is currently high.
The Provo River Parkway trail is closed in Provo Canyon from Vivian Park to Nunn's Park. This is a seasonal closure, with this part of the trail closed during the winter months every year. But with the Utah Avalanche Center currently listing avalanche danger as high in this area, the Utah County Sheriff's Office wants to make sure the public is aware of the dangers that face those who violate this closure. There is a history of significant avalanches with injuries and lives lost in the area of Bridal Veil Falls. The Utah Department of Transportation has been actively working to reduce the risk of avalanches in Provo Canyon this week.
