A 21 year old Orem man was injured when he lost control of his off road motorcycle on a dirt road west of SR-68 in Utah County. Non-life threatening injuries.
On May 23, 2015, at about 4:40 P.M., Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a report of a motorcycle crash near mile marker 15, one mile west of SR-68 (Redwood Road) in Utah County. The crash occurred on Soldier Pass Road when the driver, a 21 year old man from Orem, lost control on loose gravel. He was wearing a helmet but witnesses said the helmet came off during the crash. The driver was experiencing severe back pain and his friends put him in a car and drove him to SR-68 where Deputies met him. Goshen and Saratoga Springs EMS personnel responded. An Air Care medical helicopter also responded from Mountain View Hospital in Payson. When the driver was stabilized he was flown to Mountain View Hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash.
