A man and woman hiking in the mountains above Pleasant Grover became stranded and had to be rescued. Neither person was injured and they are now off the mountain.
On August 18, 2014, at about 1:25 PM Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a call of two people stranded, or "ledged out" on a cliff in the mountains above Pleasant Grove. Utah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team responded and were able to get to the hikers, a 23 year old man from Pleasant Grove, and a 24 year old woman from Taylorsville. SAR members reached the hikers and helped them rappel down the cliff. Neither of the hikers was injured and both brought off the mountain about 4:20 PM.
