A 63 year old Lehi man was found deceased in West Canyon. He was trapped under an ATV after it apparently rolled and he was unable to free himself.
On April 24, 2014, at 6:58 PM, Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a report of a man who was deceased and appeared to have been involved in an ATV crash in the West Canyon area in the far north west corner of Utah County, near Tooele County and Salt Lake County. The victim, 63 year old Michael Boren, of Lehi, appeared to have been driving out of the right fork of West Canyon when his ATV ran up an embankment and Boren was thrown to the ground. The ATV rolled and came to rest on Boren's back as he was face down on the ground. He appeared to have been unable to free himself. Investigators found evidence indicating that drugs may have been a factor in this crash. Boren's body was taken to the Office of Medical Examiner in Salt Lake where an autopsy will be conducted. Final results of the autopsy will not be available for several weeks.
