OMNINET Access to Utah County Government Mainframe-based Systems is now available via the internet. Two alternatives are available for connecting to the Mainframe System: Telnet access Using a standard telnet program (such as telnet included in Windows 95, or shareware programs such as NetTerm) connect to the following address: uca11.co.utah.ut.us. The telnet program should be set-up to emulate a VT100 or compatible terminal and use the VT100 keyboard and arrow keys. The emulated special function keys are: Specify (F1) and Home (HOME or esc H). The return or enter key is the transmit key. WWW Browser access Using either Netscape Navigator (version 3.01 or above) or Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.01 or above) access this url. A java applet will load and set-up the terminal session. The special function keys are available on the terminal screen. This is a complete terminal emulation as used at Utah County, including special function keys ( F9 is specify, F10 is local, F11 is rcv, F12, and the keypad + keys are Transmit, F1 is Home, etc.) Both of these methods require a previously-assigned usercode and password (subscription for outside agencies or businesses).
